We are currently seeking a full-time role
Houseperson
to join the Housekeeping team at
Sudima Queenstown Five Mile Hotel
Working as a valuable member of the housekeeping team, you will perform tasks as assigned by the Executive Housekeeping Manager or Housekeeping Supervisors.
Your duties include ensuring clean linen is gathered and fully stocked for the housekeeping team, keeping hallways tidy and free of rubbish and used linen, and ensuring the hotel is always kept in pristine condition.
The wage per hour for this role is $25.50 per hour.
This is a full-time role with a minimum of 30 hours per week.
Responsibilities | Nga haepapa
Work to the highest standards of cleanliness, tidiness and hygiene
Ensure fresh linen is available for Room Attendants at all times
Maintain the cleanliness of public areas
Cleaning the interior of buildings and the immediate outside areas
Attend to public bathrooms and replenish bathroom products (e.g. soap, hand lotion)
Report any technical issues and maintenance needs
Provide a warm friendly welcome every time you interact with a guest and assist with directions if needed
Ensure that the storeroom is kept neat & tidy at all times
Use correct cleaning chemicals for designated surfaces, according to health & safety regulations and hotel requirements
Sweeping, mopping and polishing floors, vacuuming and shampooing carpets, and cleaning curtains and upholstered furniture
Picking up rubbish, emptying garbage containers, and taking contents to waste areas for removal
Stripping and making beds, and changing bed linen
About you | Ko koe tenei
NZQF Level 1 qualification, or compulsory secondary education (ANZSCO Skill Level 5)
OR at least 2 years previous experience in a similar role
Available to work a minimum of 30 hours flexibly across a rostered working week (including weekends and public holidays)
Takes pride in work and has exceptional attention to detail
Ability to remain calm under pressure, spot and resolve problems efficiently
Willing to go the extra mile to ensure guests make the most of their day
