On behalf of our client, we are on the hunt for an experienced Engineering Manager to take the reins of a diverse and capable team of engineers and all the site maintenance requirements in a large, complex production environment.
This is a senior leadership position with direct influence on operational strategy, modernisation, and people development across a highly technical, 24-hour operational plant.
About the Role :
You will oversee key areas involved with site engineering services including systems for hydraulics, compressed air, steam supply and boiler operation, gas burners and process equipment. Instrumentation and controls assisting electrical personnel. Direct responsibility for the continued requirements on site for engineering input for health and safety.

You will play a pivotal role in guiding this transformation, working closely with a newly appointed CEO who champions empowerment, collaboration, and professional growth, rather than traditional top-down leadership.
Supporting you is a capable 2IC who manages day-to-day engineering operations, allowing you to focus on the strategic, leadership, and modernisation agenda — effectively acting as the CEO’s right hand in all engineering matters.
About you :
Proven leadership in engineering management within large-scale industrial or process plants min 10 years’ experience
Engineering trade qualification
Computer and engineering literacy
Boiler and steam experience an advantage
Experience with electrical systems and controls an advantage
Strong technical grounding across utilities, mechanical systems, and process reliability.
Experience in management or scheduled and unscheduled shut down maintenance and project management
A forward-thinking approach to maintenance, energy efficiency, and plant modernisation.
A leadership style that develops people, builds capability, and drives engagement.
Flexibility to travel overseas as required to source new equipment
