About the role
IDEA Services supports people with intellectual disabilities to enjoy great lives at home and as part of their community. You will be supporting people with intellectual disabilities living in their own homes to achieve their goals and aspirations. This is meaningful work where you can be creative and make every day interesting in ways that are important to others.
As a Support Worker you will be supporting clients manage abd learn daily living skills, such as cooking and cleaning, complex care needs, managing risk and ensuring safety. Previous relevant experience is preferred, but more importantly, we are looking for someone with varied life experience and an open-minded attitude.
What you will bring
No prior experience in the health and disability sector is necessary, but a strong desire to pursue a career as a Support Worker with a positive attitude is highly valued. Full training and orientation will be provided to individuals who demonstrate enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
