Springlands Sea Scout Group needs additional Leaders
1mo ago , from SEEK Volunteer New Zealand
Our growing Scout Group is in need of more Adult Leaders to assist in providing adventurous and exciting opportunities to our Cubs, Scouts and Venturers. Depending on the section you join, you will be working with youth aged between 8-18 years old, supporting them to run a program to develop their personal and leadership skills
Scouts is all about fun, challenges and adventure, plus the chance to make a positive impact in the community. Springlands Sea Scout Group is a well established central Blenheim group consisting of Keas, Cubs, and Scouts, and Venturers ranging in age from 5 - 18 years, with a mix of young people from throughout the Marlborough area. Our overall program has a strong focus on outdoor activities including climbing, cycling, hiking, and community projects, on top of the water-based activities, such as swimming, kayaking, canoeing, sailing and rowing.
You will be supported in your role by a team of experienced Leaders involved across the Group Sections. Boating experience is not necessary, but we can help you upskill if you would like!
You will be provided with a uniform shirt and scarf, and once invested you will become part of a Worldwide movement with more than 40 million members.
