  • We invite applications for the position of Administration Officer.

This is an incredible opportunity to join our awesome collaborative team, providing direct support to members of the District Court judiciary.We are looking for an administration officer who is confident, proactive, remains calm under pressure and has a warm personality.

You will have excellent communication and writing skills and strong interpersonal skills; be IT savvy and able to work efficiently, managing competing priorities daily.

The role may require occasional after-hours work.

A can-do positive attitude with discretion and sound judgement are a must.

Nimbleness is also essential.The successful candidate will work closely with the Judicial Administrator to the Chief District Court Judge, and the Executive Assistants to the Chief District Court Judge, Principal Family Court Judge, Principal Youth Court Judge and National Executive Judge.This is a full-time permanent position based in central Wellington.In this role, you will be required to :

  • provide administrative support relating to expenses, travel, and general account keeping on a share basis.
  • This will involve regular phone / email contact with District Court Judges and Personal Assistants

  • provide professional and courteous reception and telephonist services on a shared basis
  • provide some secretariat support such as minute taking and meeting organisation
  • provide day to day support to the Judicial Administrator to the Chief District Court Judge.

  • excellent interpersonal and communication / listening skills
  • previous experience in office management practices including : + reception management + accurate data entry skills + secretariat skills + high standard of discretion + problem solving skills + an ability to work both collaboratively and individually + intermediate skills in Microsoft Office suite, Excel or similar financial management software.

  • The appointing salary for this role will be between $55,343 and $74,416 based on skills and experience.
