Our client, E And E Santos Holdings Ltd based in Auckland, is currently seeking experienced chefs to join the team .
Minimum of 30 and a maximum of 40 hours / week guaranteed.
NZ $ 28.00 - $ 30.00 per hour
The ideal candidates should have a passion for food, the ability to thrive under pressure, and be committed and reliable.
Minimum 2 years of experience required.
Your duties will include, but not be limited to :
- Preparing and cooking food for takeaway and restaurant
- Examining each dish for quantity, quality, presentation, and correct temperature
- Correct portioning (serving size) of the food, adding sauces and gravies.
- Seasoning and garnishing the dishes
- Controlling the temperatures of the cooking equipment, ovens, and grills
- Follow the instructions and prepare the food as per the dietary requirements
- Storing the food at the required temperatures
- To assist in ordering the inventory and maintaining the stock levels
- Suggest new dishes and assist in planning the menu
- Keeping the work areas always clean, hygienic, and tidy
- Ensure kitchen compliance meets all health and safety regulations
