Chef

Our client,  E And E Santos  Holdings Ltd based in Auckland, is currently seeking experienced chefs to join the team .

Minimum of 30 and a maximum of 40  hours / week guaranteed.

NZ $ 28.00 - $ 30.00 per hour

The ideal candidates should have a passion for food, the ability to thrive under pressure, and be committed and reliable.

Minimum 2 years of experience required.

Your duties will include, but not be limited to :

• Preparing and cooking food for takeaway and restaurant
• Examining each dish for quantity, quality, presentation, and correct temperature
• Correct portioning (serving size) of the food, adding sauces and gravies.
• Seasoning and garnishing the dishes
• Controlling the temperatures of the cooking equipment, ovens, and grills
• Follow the instructions and prepare the food as per the dietary requirements
• Storing the food at the required temperatures
• To assist in ordering the inventory and maintaining the stock levels
• Suggest new dishes and assist in planning the menu
• Keeping the work areas always clean, hygienic, and tidy
• Ensure kitchen compliance meets all health and safety regulations
