About the role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Finance & Administration Lead to join our growing team at NZ Pump & Energy Limited in Silverdale, Auckland. In this full‑time position, you will play a crucial hands‑on role in the company’s financial operations and provide general support to the wider business.

What you’ll be doing

  • Manage day‑to‑day accounting activities including accounts payable, receivable, reconciliations and month‑end processing.
  • Support the preparation of management reports, budgets and forecasts.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decision‑making.
  • Oversee the administration of the company, including managing office operations and assisting with HR and IT‑related tasks.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders, customers and suppliers as required.
  • Manage general office administration, including documentation, correspondence and record‑keeping.
  • Support branch managers and operational teams with documentation, scheduling and information flow.

What we’re looking for

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a senior finance or administration role, preferably within a small to medium‑sized organisation.
  • Strong technical accounting skills and a comprehensive understanding of financial reporting and compliance.
  • Excellent problem‑solving, analytical and decision‑making abilities.
  • Proficient in the use of financial software like Xero, InspHire and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with both financial and non‑financial stakeholders.
  • A proactive and solutions‑oriented approach, with a keen eye for detail.
