Affinity Medical Imaging is a newly established radiology provider bringing easily accessible, equitable and holistic imaging services to the Capital. With several purpose built, architecturally designed premises in the wider Wellington area, Affinity is equipped with state‑of‑the‑art imaging technology. We are a talented team of radiologists, clinicians and support staff committed to providing world‑class clinical service, diagnosis and patient care.

Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced PACS / RIS Applications Specialist to ensure ongoing effective provision of quality IT systems support across our three Wellington radiology branches. Reporting to our General Manager you will play a crucial role in the implementation, maintenance and optimisation of Affinity Medical Imaging’s PACS and RIS. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient functioning of these systems, providing technical support to users, collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance workflow efficiency and serving as the primary point of contact for referrers, assisting them with streamlining image access and account setup.

Qualifications

  • Previous radiology experience (3+ years) working with PACS and RIS systems
  • Proficiency in PACS / RIS software platforms (e.g. InteleRad) and related technologies (DICOM, HL7)
  • Knowledge of healthcare industry regulations, standards and best practices related to medical imaging and information management
  • A high level of professional competence & commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
