What will you do?

Maintain profitability of the Parts Department through inventory management at optimal levels, keeping the environment clean and orderly and ensuring availability for fast-moving items while controlling slow-moving items.

Develop and maintain good vendor relationships to secure the best service and price, and pursue new vendors to improve service and profitability.

Order and track special-ordered parts and parts installation information so that vehicles are completed on time for both reconditioning and retail service.

Train and mentor a parts manager successor; perform performance reviews of all subordinates and act as a team builder.

Conduct quarterly in-house and annual external year-end inventories.

Who we're looking for

Knowledge of Parts Department operations with the ability to perform the work and train others.

Consistent application of creativity, logic, practicality and objectivity in decision-making and problem solving.

Integrity – does not cut corners, maintains confidences, and consistently behaves as promised.

Experience in planning, organizing and scheduling to ensure parts reach the right department promptly for customer satisfaction.

Stability under pressure and a skill for managing team excellence with positive reinforcement.

Effective one-to-one communication, empathy, patience, active listening and clear, precise writing.

Proven ability to train, coach and develop people for current assignments and future promotion.
