This role supports the management of day-to-day operations and acts as a critical link between the CEO's office and the Board, Senior Executive Team, Education Services, and Corporate Services.Our purpose is clear : to support children to grow into their full potential.
We are a not-for-profit, values-driven organisation delivering early childhood education to over 4,000 tamariki across 26 locations in the Central North Island.
This role will be based in our Kirikiroa (Hamilton) office, with regular travel to our other offices in Tokoroa and Rotorua.ResponsibilitiesProviding high-level executive support to the CEO, including diary and email management, travel bookings, and stakeholder engagement.Coordinating Board meetings, taking accurate minutes, and managing BoardPro.Collaborating with the Senior Leadership Team and Kaiarataki (Education Leads) to ensure timely reporting and communication.Event coordination for CEO hui and other organisation events.Supporting the Corporate and Education Services teams as needed.Taking a lead role in building a positive team culture in our Rotorua office.Qualifications & ExperienceMinimum 10 years' experience in administration, project management, or coordination roles.Previous experience in community development or not-for-profit sectors.Knowledge of the Early Childhood and Education sectors (desirable).
Familiarity with te reo Maori and Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles.Fluency in te reo Maori (desirable).
Key CompetenciesHigh level of attention to detail and accuracy and ability to meet deadlines.Strong project management and organisational skills.Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.Confidence with AI note-taking tools (full training provided).
