Reporting to the Data & Analytics Lead, the Senior Data Analyst designs, develops, and delivers data strategies and solutions that power decision-making across Avanti Finance.

You\'ll own the data warehouse environment—from sourcing and transformation through to integration, governance, and quality control.

Working closely with business stakeholders, IT, and external vendors, you\'ll build scalable, high-quality data solutions that support business performance, risk management, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

Lead requirements gathering and translate business needs into detailed technical specifications and scalable data solutions

Design and support BI / visualisation solutions (Power BI, Tableau) that enable self-service reporting and deliver measurable commercial value

Deliver fast, agile ad-hoc analysis using optimised coding techniques and clear data interpretation

Design, develop, and maintain enterprise data models using dimensional modelling (star / snowflake schema) in cloud-based repositories (e.g., Snowflake)

Build and optimise data marts and subject-area repositories for reporting, analytics, and performance

Support Data Governance by maintaining centralised data dictionaries, metadata repositories, and ER diagrams

Implement referential integrity, security, and access controls in line with governance, privacy, and regulatory requirements

Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot data quality issues and optimise query performance

Work within an agile squad framework alongside Data Engineering, Data Science, and Data Governance teams to deliver prioritised products

What we look for in the successful candidate

High Proficien cy with BI / visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau).

In cluding workspaces, paginated reports, direct query, import , power automate and Dax.

Strong experience in Python, Sql or R for analysis / automation.

A strong understanding of all stages and tools associated to the Data pipeline.

From Capture to Output / Archiving.

Including database s (Oracle / Sql Server ) , Integration platforms (Kafka, Fivetran ) and cloud based repositories (Snowflake).

Experien ce in Cloud data warehouse design and modelling .

Building of Data Marts through Kimball / star schema 's .

Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure / AWS / GCP ) .

Desirable knowledge of ETL / ELT procedures and tools (Coalesce / dbt ).

Experience with financial, risk, or compliance data preferred.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain data concepts to non-technical users.

BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or equivalent.
