Job Description

The team of Prof. Loh Kian Ping invites application for a postdoctoral fellow / research fellow working in condensed matter physics and two dimensional (2-D) materials devices. A major research thrust is the synthesis and investigation of artificially engineered heterostructures of quantum materials synthesized by molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) with strong electron correlations which allow new emergent states to be created at the interface.

Requirements :

  • PhD in Physics.
  • Experience operating an Angle Resolved Photoemission Spectrometer and collecting and interpreting results.
  • Experience in the molecular beam epitaxy growth of 2D topological materials.
  • Experience using UHV-scanning tunnelling microscopy / atomic force microscopy.
