Medical Laboratory Scientist - Auckland Blood Bank (Start Asap)

Your Role

Here's what you will be doing :

Perform a range of duties related to pre transfusion, antenatal and diagnostic testing

Issue blood and blood products for clinical purposes

Work within a well-established team of Scientists and Technicians committed to quality service and patient wellbeing

Respond immediately in emergency situations for patients in need

About You

The company is looking for :

Registration as a Medical Laboratory Scientist with the Medical Sciences Council of NZ, or actively completing intern requirements for full registration with NZMLSB

Experience in transfusion science or a related discipline

Experience working in a Blood Bank preferred but not essential

Flexibility to fully participate in a 24-hour, 7-day per week roster

Effective interpersonal and communication skills

Positive attitude, self-motivation, and ability to take responsibility

Ability to multi-task, work collaboratively, and respond quickly in a fast-paced environment

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary between $71,070 and $107,600 depending on skills, experience, and registration
