Commercial Cleaner

R J & S SERVICES LIMITED, a professional cleaning services provider, is looking for Commercial Cleaners to join our team in the Bay of Plenty region.

The role requires a candidate who is detail-focused, reliable, and committed to maintaining high cleaning standards.

The role requires travel within the region, and all travel and fuel costs will be covered by the employer.Key duties include :

• Clean and disinfect all surfaces including floors, walls, windows, doors, furniture, fixtures, and fittings.
• Vacuum carpets and mats, sweep and mop hard floors, and carry out periodic machine scrubbing, buffing, strip & polish, and carpet steam cleaning.
• Collect and dispose of rubbish, replace bin liners, and ensure correct disposal of waste, contaminated water, and chemicals in line with environmental requirements.
• Clean and sanitise bathrooms and toilets (including basins, urinals, partitions, and floors) and restock supplies such as toilet paper, soap, and paper towels.
• Clean and sanitise kitchens and break areas including benches, sinks, cupboard fronts, appliances, and floors.
• Perform high dusting to remove dust and cobwebs from ceilings, light fittings, vents, fan blades, and other high areas.
• Clean glass and mirrors (spot clean and blade clean) and polish stainless steel surfaces such as push plates, kick plates, panels, basins, and benches.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, scrubbers, and pressure / steam cleaners safely and efficiently.
• Follow all health and safety policies, use PPE correctly, apply colour-coding systems to prevent cross-contamination, and report hazards or maintenance issues promptly.
• Maintain a tidy cleaning cupboard, keep equipment in good condition, replenish cleaning and hygiene supplies, and perform other reasonable cleaning duties asdirected.Required to work for a minimum of 30 hours per week and will be paid between $25 to $30 per hour.Other requirements for the role :
• Relevant work experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Available to work Monday to Friday on rostered shifts.
• A valid driver's licence is required.
• Physically fit to carry out various cleaning tasks
• Able to work both in a team and independently.
• Reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented.
