About the OpportunityMy client is on the lookout for a proactive and commercially astute Legal Counsel to join a dynamic in-house legal team within a leading New Zealand financial services organisation.

If you're looking to combine legal expertise with strategic thinking and play a key role in supporting business growth, this role could be the perfect next step in your legal career.In this role, you'll work closely with internal stakeholders across the business, providing practical legal advice that supports innovation, marketing, and operational initiatives.

Your insights will help guide key decisions and ensure the business operates with confidence in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

You'll also contribute to privacy compliance efforts and occasionally support board governance processes.Key ResponsibilitiesAdvising on a broad range of commercial legal matters with a focus on enabling business goals.Supporting strategic projects and identifying areas for legal or operational improvement.Managing relationships with external legal advisors to ensure efficient service delivery.Assisting with privacy compliance and risk management across the organisation.Participating in governance and board-related processes as needed.About you4+ years PQEStrong commercial judgement and a track record of aligning legal advice with business objectives.Experience in areas such as privacy, contracts, and / or financial services will be highly regarded.Confident communicator with strong relationship-building skills.A self-starter who is solutions-focused and thrives in a collaborative environment.Why Apply?
