About the Role :
As a Reproduction Solutions Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in supporting dairy farmers to achieve herd reproductive success through tailored breeding advice, herd analysis, and the delivery of reproductive solutions.
This is a hands-on, client-facing position, where you will assist farmers to make informed decisions for maximising herd fertility and genetic progress.
You will work within a supportive team, collaborate with our renowned Artificial Breeding (AB) Animal Health and Herd Testing teams, and be part of a network striving for continued improvement of the New Zealand dairy sector.
Key Responsibilities :
Provide on-farm consultation and advice on reproductive management, herd fertility, and genetic solutions for dairy clients
Analyse herd reproductive performance and present findings using LIC's industry-leading software and technology
Deliver breeding strategies and herd improvement plans tailored for each farm business
Support the delivery and promotion of LIC Artificial Breeding programmes and reproductive services
Build strong relationships with farmers and support them throughout the breeding season
Collaborate with AB technicians, laboratory, and field teams to ensure client expectations are met and exceeded
Maintain accurate records and provide regular updates to clients and LIC teams
Stay up to date with new industry regulations, technologies, and reproductive science developments
Ideal Skills & Experience :
Relevant experience in dairy farming, animal science, or agri-consultancy strongly preferred
Tertiary qualification in agriculture, animal science, or a related field is advantageous
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with a diverse range of clients
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for interpreting herd data and delivering recommendations
Comfortable using agricultural software, digital tools, smartphones and tablets
Self-motivated, organised, and able to work both independently and within a wider team
Full, clean driver's licence and the right to work in New Zealand
This role may suit a Vet or Breeding Scientist wanting to progress their career into the commercial space.
It could be a great stepping stone to a more senior Agri Manager role.
