The OpportunityWe're seeking an experiencedBitumen (Gangbar)Sprayer Operatorto join our Maintenance Reseals Crew based out ofAuckland.In the role, you'll be responsible for operating spray bars attached to bitumen distribution trucks to apply precise layers of bitumen during chip sealing operations.You'll work alongside a dedicated crew, helping to create safe surfaces for motorists across the Auckland network.
In addition to the above you willDrive the Bitumen Gangbar Sprayer Truck and be the passenger Spray Person when / as required.Monitoring spray rates, coverage, and adjusting equipment as required for optimal results.Following all safety protocols and working collaboratively with team members.Conduct cleaning and pre inspection checks for the sprayer to ensure plant is running at optimal performance.Reporting any hazards or equipment issues to the supervisor without delay.Work closely and communicate with your chip seal crew members to ensure good coordination of the sealing process.Perform labouring duties as / when requiredGood Work equals Good BenefitsKiwiSaver employer contributionsFuel discount cardParental leave top-up payment with additional return to work supportFamily scholarshipsOngoing training and development, career growth and progression opportunitiesGreat discounts at a wide range of retailersMedical and Life insuranceAt Fulton Hogan, we genuinely care about the wellbeing of our people and giving them the tools and opportunities they need to succeed and grow with us.We're looking for someone withMust have experience as a Bitumen Sprayer / Operator (3-5 years ideally)Hold a minimum Class 2 NZ driver's licence, Class 4 is idealDangerous Goods and WTR endorsement are idealGood communication skills, both verbal and writtenConfident using devices such as iPads, LaptopsThis is a permanent , full time position.Hourly Wage can range between $27.00 to $38.00 per hour + penal rates, pending on experience,.
The position title will be officially Specialist Operator.
