Hiya, Our names are Laura (30) and Mitch (34) and we live in Maupia, Wellington. Our house is a recent first home for us and as we've discovered since moving here, situated in one of the most beautiful and underrated suburbs Wellington has to offer. We're a ten-minute walk from the beach, five minutes from local mountain bike trails and many walking trails. Miramar has a lovely town center with a New World and loads of other amazing businesses to see while you stay. Some highlights are Bongusto Pasta Workshop and Cafe, Weta Workshop and the op shops on this peninsula have some incredible finds! Our house it situated close to the top of the hill with all day sun and very direct access to a beautiful dog park with views of the harbor. it's a small two bedroom, with one room set up as a full time work from home office. Bathroom with a small bath tub and a neat little downstairs. Heat pump, continuous hot water and a small garden that will need watering. The garden is chock full of veggies, anything that is growing you are welcome to harvest and enjoy! Our kitchen is small and slated for replacement but has a new cook top, fridge and dishwasher. Our dog Oslo is a seven year old Cattle Dog x Jack Russel, he's very smart and very affectionate but takes a while to warm up to new people. Once you're part of his pack he will love and care for you. Oslo is small (11kg) and needs at least one 15 minute walk each day. We typically take him to the dog park for a walk along the hill or a ball throw after work. However, he is made for adventure! You're welcome and encouraged to take him on long walks (up to around 5km), to the beach where he loves to swim or even camping. He's been hiking with us and is very well practiced on the trails since we adopted him and three months old. Oslo is fed twice daily, drinks a lot of water for such a small dog and loves a lot of pats. We have friends in the area who will be able to take him on walks and adventures if this just isn't for you. We're looking for someone experienced with dogs, while he's very well trained he can get a bit anxious with new people or crowded places. Ideally, he'd love someone who is at home with him through the day, but can stick it out on his own for a standard work day (6-8hrs) Please reach out if you're interested, we'd love to do a meet and greet and show you around our cozy little place up here on the hill. Thanks, Laura, Mitch and Oslo.person LauraMitch and I are outdoorsy people who love travel and adventures, while we prefer to take Oslo it's not always possible.Mitch is a Web Developer for Education Perfect and I work at Forest & Bird.
