With solutions operating in over 160 countries, their systems help secure everything from international embassies and military sites to farms, wildlife reserves, and critical infrastructure.

With continued international growth in their Security division, they're now looking to appoint a Legal Counsel to support their expanding global operations.

The Role

This is a unique opportunity to step into a broad, commercially focused in-house role within a high-performing legal team.

Reporting to the Legal Partner - Security, the role will see you partnering closely with internal teams across various regions to provide practical legal advice across :

Commercial contracts and negotiations

Risk and compliance frameworks

Internal legal training

Supporting global commercial operations

This is a standout in-house legal role for someone looking to grow their legal career on the international stage - without leaving the Waikato.

What we're looking for

The ideal candidate will bring a blend of strong legal capability and commercial acumen.

Key requirements include :

A Bachelor of Laws and current NZ practising certificate

At least 8 years' experience in commercial or corporate law

Experience reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contracts

Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills

A proactive and solutions-focused mindset

Experience in a global or technology business is an advantage but not essential - the key is your ability to apply sound legal judgment in a fast-paced commercial environment.
