About the Role
This
role will be based in Women's Clinics at Wellington Hospital.
You will use your midwifery expertise, as required,
across Antenatal Clinics, Women's Health
Acute Assessment Service (WHAS) and Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) to coordinate
and plan care for women with diverse and complex needs.
The role will require
you to prepare clinics using your midwifery knowledge to coordinate all
screening tests and scans, ensuring results are available for the clinic
consultation.
Your expertise and acute assessment skills will enable you to
manage care for women referred to WHAS by General practitioners, Lead Maternity
Carers and SMO clinics for early pregnancy issues or for ongoing fetal / maternal
surveillance.
You will be required to liaise with LMC's, GPs and other
community practitioners, working alongside doctors, other clinic midwives and
nurses within the service.

We are a supportive multi-disciplinary team at the Wellington women's
clinics, consisting of registered nurses, midwives, registered medical officers
(RMO's), senior medical officers (SMO's), sonographers, healthcare assistants,
and administration staff.
We

within our dynamic team.
About you
You will need to be an experienced Registered Midwife with a current APC
from the Midwifery Council of New Zealand.
Ideally you will possess at least 5 years post registration experience
and have a good understanding of the Maternity services in New Zealand.
Experience across all aspects of maternity
care in New Zealand is an advantage.
