Maintenance Engineer- Night Shift

19th August, 2025About the role : Based in East Tamaki, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our small, dynamic team on the Night Shift.As the sole Engineer on site, the ability to be a self-starter and work independently is essential.Reporting to the Group Engineering & Maintenance Manager, this is a hands-on position responsible for maintenance of equipment and plant across our East Tamaki manufacturing site, as well as involvement in engineering projects.Your role and responsibilities will include : Front-line fault finding and preventative maintenance.Performing equipment maintenance and recording activities.Developing new preventative maintenance procedures.Ensuring timely repairs of plant and equipment.About you : You will have a minimum of 10 years of mechanical engineering experience with relevant qualifications.

You are collaborative, a team player, and committed to your organization.Skills required include : Experience with CMMS systems.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and computer literacy.Relevant mechanical maintenance engineering qualification.Experience in light fabrication, welding, and machining.Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.Ability to liaise effectively with contractors and internal stakeholders.Preference will be given to candidates with dual trade (Mechanical, Electrical) qualifications and / or electrical experience.Join our team – we're working together to make things happen!
