Overview

Secondary (Years 7–15) / wharekura, Certificated teacher.

Social sciences.

We are seeking a full-time, permanent social science teacher to take up a position at Hutt Valley High School, starting in term 1, 2026.

Applicants with experience teaching social sciences across all levels are preferred, although applications from provisionally certified teachers are also welcome.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of the curriculum and NCEA achievement standards.

Potential assistant HOLA role for the right applicant, which would include 2MU and an MMA.
