About the Role
As the Clinical Engineering Team Leader, you’ll lead a multi-disciplinary team responsible for ensuring medical equipment and systems are safe, reliable, and available when and where they’re needed. This is a pivotal role supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care through effective health technology management.
You’ll oversee all aspects of clinical engineering services, from equipment lifecycle management, maintenance, calibration and performance verification, to procurement, compliance, and strategic planning. The role also involves providing expert advice to clinical and non-clinical teams on the safe and efficient use of medical technology.
This is a hands‑on leadership role, where you’ll actively contribute to technical work alongside your team while developing and implementing consistent, centre‑led processes that meet New Zealand regulations and international standards.
About the Team
Our Clinical Engineering Services Team provides a wide range of repair, maintenance and construction engineering services across all Taranaki sites with teams located at Taranaki Base and Hawera Hospitals.
