Are you passionate about supporting high-quality teaching and learning that makes a real difference for all ākonga? As a curriculum advisor you’ll be at the forefront of educational change, working directly with schools, kura and early learning services in your region to implement curriculum and assessment and aromatawai changes with a specific focus on schools catering for students in Y0–10.
Based in Palmerston North or Whanganui, working across the region.
You will :
- Support schools, kura and early learning services to implement the knowledge rich curriculum using effective practices to that it has the intended impact for learners
- Support professional learning to develop pedagogical content knowledge
To succeed in this role, you’ll need :
Deep understanding of the science of learning and the effective teaching practices that are needed to enact the knowledge rich curriculum to achieve learner outcomesStrong, proven expertise in whole school curriculum planning and delivery that supports consistency of teaching and learning with the ability to support professional change in education settingsFamiliarity with te ao Māori and understanding of Te Reo, and Mātauranga Māori is advantageous for curriculum advisorsA full current NZ driver licence as travel will be requiredThe ability and willingness to adhere to the Public Service Standards of Integrity and ConductAll applications must be submitted online via the Ministry Careers Portal.
