Key Responsibilities

Inspecting the floor surface to ensure it is suitable for covering.

Removing old flooring and preparing subfloors (e.g., by cleaning, levelling, or repairing).

Measuring areas to be carpeted and planning the layout of carpet pieces.

Cutting carpet, underlay, and other materials to size and shape.

Laying and securing underlay and carpet using adhesives, tacks, tapes, or staples.

Stretching carpet to ensure a smooth and secure fit.

Joining carpet sections using heat-seaming tapes or other methods.

Finishing edges and trimming excess materials.

Repairing and re-laying carpet when required.

Advising clients on carpet maintenance and care.

Job requirement : applicant must meet following requirement to apply for this job

• NZQF Level 4 qualification;OR
• At least one year of working experience in relevant industry
• Ability to perform precise measurements and calculations.
• Physical fitness and manual dexterity.

Problem-solving and time management skills.
