Calling all property graduates!

Your dream role for 2027 is here.

Are you ready to kick off your career with a company that gets what grads need to succeed?

The Property Group (TPG) -New Zealand’s largest independent specialist property consultancy – is looking for passionate grads like you to join our graduate development programme. Whether you're keen to work on projects of national significance or grow alongside a team of seasoned and friendly professionals, TPG is the place to be.

We’re proud to offer one of NZ’s top-rated graduate programmes in the Construction & Property sector (ranked #3 by Prosple!), designed to give you wraparound support, career growth, and real-world impact from day one.

So, what’s in it for you? Aside from the great graduate experience, the perks of TPG and our graduate programme include :

  • A competitive starting salary
  • Six-monthly remuneration reviews
  • Free health insurance after one year, valued at over $4k
  • Eye health subsidies, study assistance and funded sporting activities
  • Roles available across NZ.

You’ll be part of a nationwide team of 180+ experts who bring a trusted, unique point of view to some of Aotearoa’s most important projects.

Applications open on 23 May and close on 16 June.

If you have any questions, please contact Hannah (Senior Advisor, People and Culture) on or email

About our graduate roles

Our property consultancy team are a talented bunch. We have strong technical knowledge and property experience and are happy to share this expertise and passion with our developing consultants. By joining our property team, you will contribute to important projects that impact all New Zealanders such as infrastructure, transport, housing, and education. Our graduates get involved in a range of work including (but not limited to) liaising with clients, collaborating with our team on property projects, researching property data and delivering property strategies for private, local government and central government clients.

As a property graduate, you’ll use your knowledge of property legislation to help TPG’s clients with the acquisition and disposal of land, supporting smooth negotiations and ensuring the process runs efficiently from start to finish.

Some day-to-day aspects of the role include :

  • Investigating the history of ownership and use of land
  • Providing quality professional reports and recommendations to our clients
  • Advising on statutory compliance
  • Undertaking negotiations on the client’s behalf
  • Providing quality client service through courteous, prompt and efficient communication while building and maintaining positive relationships.
  • Have added this for more understanding of role.

Maybe ‘knowledge of property’ rather than ‘property legislation’?

Ignore that, it’s relevant now I read on.

    About you

We are interested in hearing from people from diverse backgrounds, who are excited about a career in consultancy and who share our values of caring, collaboration, positivity, and integrity.

The graduates who stand out to us will be :

  • Passionate about our purpose, and that superior client experience
  • Genuinely interested in a career in a consultancy environment
  • Focused on quality and always take pride in their work
  • Team players who build great relationships
  • Great communicators who write and present ideas clearly
  • Critical thinkers who solve problems and think outside the box
  • Curious and eager to learn and grow personally and professionally.
  • Eligibility and locations

To be eligible to apply, you will be a current or recent graduate (within the past two years). You will have an undergraduate or post-graduate qualification in property, or another relevant discipline such as business or commerce with a major or minor in property. We have opportunities in our property consultancy teams in Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington, Nelson, and Christchurch, starting in January 2027.
