We have an exciting role for a Human Resources Business Partner in our Auckland, New Zealand office. This role is in-office. The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for delivering operational and strategic human resources support to the business. The role involves advising and guiding managers and employees on HR matters, ensuring compliance with applicable New Zealand and Australia employment legislation, and contributing to the development and implementation of HR policies and initiatives. The HRBP plays a key role in fostering a positive workplace culture, supporting employee engagement, and enabling effective workforce planning.
Human Resources Advisory
- Provide timely and accurate HR advice to managers and employees on matters including performance management, disciplinary processes, and employment conditions.
- Support the implementation of HR policies, procedures, and initiatives in alignment with organizational objectives.
Employee Relations and Legal Compliance
Assist in the resolution of employee relations issues, ensuring adherence to the Employment Relations Act 2000, Holidays Act 2003, Privacy Act 2020, and other relevant legislation.Maintain awareness of legislative changes and ensure HR practices remain compliant.Support a workplace culture that values diversity, equity, and inclusion.Recruitment and Onboarding
Coordinate recruitment activities including job design, advertising, candidate screening, and selection processes using our applicant tracking system.Prepare job offer letters, conduct background checks and other pre-employment requirements.Facilitate onboarding and new hire orientation to ensure a smooth transition for new employees.Performance and Development
Support the performance review process and assist managers in identifying development needs and opportunities.Participate in compensation process by providing market data and other analysis.Contribute to the design and delivery of training and development initiatives as needed.HR Operations and Reporting
Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation in accordance with privacy and data protection requirements.Prepare HR reports and metrics to support decision-making and continuous improvement.Participate in HR projects and contribute to organizational development initiatives.Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, or a related discipline.A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a generalist HR role, preferably within a business partnering capacity.Demonstrated knowledge of New Zealand and Australia employment legislation and HR best practices.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across all levels of the organization.Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver outcomes within set timeframes.Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in handling sensitive information.Strong Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.Benefits
