We’re looking for a Senior Programme Risk Manager to lead risk and compliance across a major transformation programme. You’ll work with project teams and senior leaders to spot risks early, keep information flowing, and enable smart, risk-based decisions.

Your Day-to-day

  • Lead risk reporting to senior leadership and Board Committees, highlighting key risks and issues across the programme.
  • Own the Compliance Matrix, ensuring all projects meet legislative and regulatory obligations.
  • Apply lessons learnt from past transformation programmes to drive continuous improvement.
  • Establish best-practice risk frameworks for consistent project and programme risk management.
  • Facilitate risk workshops and support project managers in maintaining accurate risk registers.
  • Collaborate with enterprise risk teams to align practices and support risk transition to BAU.

From running workshops to managing registers and templates, you’ll be the go-to for all things risk. You’ll also ensure Lotto NZ’s compliance is built into every step of delivery.

Your Team

Your role will work closely with Project and Programme Managers and key stakeholders across the business and is responsible for providing the accurate and usable project risk information which enable senior leaders to make risk-based informed decisions.

A Bit About You

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in risk management within large-scale transformation programmes or project environments.
  • Strong understanding of project and programme management methodologies, with relevant qualifications (e.g. PMP, Prince2) preferred.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and organisational skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across technical and business teams.
  • High level of technology literacy and confidence working with project and portfolio management tools, including MS Office and Excel.
  • Skilled in analysing complex information, identifying risk gaps, and driving compliance and governance outcomes.
  • Familiarity with governance frameworks and committee structures, with experience supporting reporting to senior leadership and boards.
