The Role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi

As a support worker, you will be responsible for ensuring the welfare and wellbeing of the guests you support. Our service provides mental health respite and social detox services for up to 4 people. This is a 24 / 7 service.

In your role some responsibilities may include :

• Working alongside people to support their mental health and / or AOD recovery goals
• Utilising skills taught through in Pathways trainings such as sensory modulation, motivational skills, goal planning, trauma-informed practice
• Administration work, including recording notes
• Medication support and providing first aid
• Contributing and supporting others to maintain the home and gardens

This role is working Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday 7 : 00am to 3 : 30pm.

We are interested to hear from people who have a caring nature and work in arecovery and trauma informed way.

• You must hold a current full driver’s licence
• Hold a current first aid certificate or be willing to obtain one
• Applicants must hold the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (NZCHW) or a recognised equivalent or be willing to complete this qualification.
