About the role
We're looking for an intermediate-level Business Development Manager to join our Business Sales team in Napier.
This role is all about creating and managing a strong pipeline of small and medium business prospects.
You'll self-generate opportunities, build your own network, and focus on outbound lead generation as much as inbound.
You'll work closely with prospects to understand their needs, explain solutions in plain English, and turn conversations into growth.
You'll also collaborate with colleagues across Service Delivery, Account Management, and Marketing to deliver a seamless customer experience.
About you
You're driven, curious, and proactive in getting out into the market.
You enjoy building new relationships, networking, and finding creative ways to generate opportunities.
You thrive on delivering results, but you're also collaborative and focused on doing what's right for the customer.
Here's what you'll bring
3+ years' experience in sales, ideally in B2B
Strong focus on outbound lead generation and self-initiated networking
Background in telecommunications or service industries (preferred)
A track record of delivering on sales targets
Strong communication and influencing skills
An inquisitive nature and genuine interest in helping businesses succeed
Resilience, self-motivation, and the ability to generate ideas for growth
Familiarity with Microsoft Office and ideally Salesforce CRM
A team-oriented mindset and the ability to collaborate across functions
