Job Description

The Business School is seeking to appoint two Professional Teaching Fellows – Business Communication (Undergraduate) . Working closely with the Team Lead, these positions will design, develop, and deliver embedded business communication teaching that improves student learning outcomes and graduate employability across undergraduate programmes. This includes collaborative pedagogical support to academic staff, implementing culturally responsive teaching practices for diverse student populations, and supporting assessment redesign initiatives that embed communication skills within disciplinary content.

These are full-time (40 hours per week), fixed-term appointments of 36 months. We are looking to appoint PTFs at Step 1–3. The salary range for this role is $103,717 – $125,554 per annum, depending on the level of appointment. Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deliver embedded business communication teaching for undergraduate programmes
  • Provide collaborative pedagogical support to academic staff
  • Implement culturally responsive teaching practices for diverse student populations
  • Support assessment redesign initiatives that embed communication skills within disciplinary content

What we are looking for / Qualifications

  • A postgraduate qualification in English, language, communication, or a related discipline (other fields considered with relevant expertise)
  • Effective teaching experience in language teaching, academic literacies, or communication skills
  • Strong understanding of developing academic and professional communication skills
  • Experience with interactive and experiential learning techniques
  • Familiarity with conventions in academic and business writing
  • Experience in instructional and assessment design including scaffolded and formative assessment
  • High sensitivity to diverse cultures and commitment to professional education
  • Excellent communication, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Preferred : Minimum of three years’ experience working with international students at tertiary level.
