We’re looking for a passionate Project Manager to help us build a better Kapiti. You’ll join our Project Management Office (PMO) and lead civil infrastructure projects from inception to completion, with a focus on design process management, scoping, tendering and construction delivery.

The PMO manages the Council’s major projects, working closely with Council teams and contractors, whilst managing relationships with our customers – the public and elected members. We use best-practice methodologies to manage, report, and govern the projects that shape our district.

We’re a multi-disciplined team that takes pride in improving the district’s infrastructure while handling the inevitable challenges with professionalism and a bit of humour.

The PMO sits within the Infrastructure and Asset Management Group, and this role reports directly to the Programme Delivery Manager Civil.

To excel in this role, you will have 7+ years project management experience, ideally in complex civil or infrastructure projects. Understanding of both the public sector client-side and contractor-side priorities will be beneficial. You’ll also bring strong knowledge of and experience in :
