Step into a key role as a Warehouse Store Personand become an essential part of a company celebrated for its outstanding workplace culture and strong commitment to employee development and growth.As an experienced Warehouse Store Person, you'll help keep our warehouse running smoothly.
You will work in our new, modern, and purpose-built warehouse that distributes vehicle parts across New Zealand.Your main tasks will be : Pick, pack, and dispatch parts orders efficiently and accuratelyCoordinate with internal departments and external customers to ensure timely deliveryPrepare shipping documentation and labelsOptimize Workflow Processes : Continuously evaluate and optimize workflow processes to enhance efficiency and productivity in the inwards and outwards goods areas.Quality Control : Ensuring that all parts leaving the warehouse meet quality standards, and that any defective items are handled appropriately.Health & Safety : Adopt and apply the warehouse H&S policy, regulations and procedures ensuring that the warehouse is a safe and healthy environment for workers, including that equipment is maintained, and any events are reported immediately to the health and safety officer / or recorded into the H&S Web PortalTo receive and document invoices / shipments pertaining to all incoming goods, checking for damage, shortages and ensuring quantities and specifications are correct to documentation.The maintenance of effective, open, and friendly communication with the warehouse and parts sales teams for each brand, ensuring even and fair relationships exist between all brands.To be aware that although the company vigorously promotes the "Team" concept of working together, individuals are always to be given the chance to openly express their ideas.To maintain an impeccable degree of general housekeeping, in line with our corporate identity.To ensure the security of all stock, plant and equipment and always be vigilant towards theft, especially outside of normal working hoursTo strictly control the purchase, recording and storage of freight tickets.To ensure that safe working practices are always adhered to, that equipment is efficiently maintained, and any accidents are reported immediately to the health and safety officer.To undertake supporting tasks from time to time as assigned.About YouWe're looking for someone with a positive attitude who enjoys working in a team.
You should also have : 5+ years of proven working experience in warehouse operations.Excellent punctuality and work attendance - we value reliability!
Strong knowledge of automotive parts and components is desirable.Forklift license (LF) and experience operating warehouse equipment.Proficiency in inventory management systems and basic to medium computer skills.Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.Experience working with RF receivers.Ability to lift and move heavy items safely.Leadership skills to support and train other operators.What We OfferWhen you join Giltrap Group, you're joining New Zealand's leading automotive group.
