Mo te turanga : About the role

In this role, you enjoy a dynamic blend of planning, coaching, and game-day action throughout the school year.

In Term 1, you contribute up to six hours of engaging administrative planning for trainings, including IDP meetings with squad members, alongside up to 10 hours for trials and six hours for trainings and pre-season games.

Term 2 brings a balanced weekly rhythm, with up to one hour of planning, IDP check-ins, and feedback meetings, plus energising Tuesday morning trainings at Dilworth and Wednesday afternoon games, as well as exciting exchanges with Waikato Diocesan and St Peter's.

In Term 3, you continue to shape players' development with weekly planning, IDP check-ins, and coaching feedback, while maintaining the regular training and game schedule.

The season culminates in Winter Tournament Week, held from 30 August to 4 September—an inspiring highlight of the year.

This role offers variety, teamwork, and the chance to make a meaningful impact every week.

You will work with students in a Football team to develop and hone their skills and gameplay to a high standard and create a positive team environment

Your planning and organisation will enable us to effectively run training sessions and game days

Your performance will be measured on a Termly report shared with Sports Manager in Charge of Football summarising player capabilities including technical & tactical skill set and fitness

Strong Communication between players / parents around expectations and goals for trainings and games

Link with and share best practice with fellow Pathway Coaches

Ensure high quality warm up to engage players minds and bodies

Planning and organisation skills to effectively run training sessions and game days

Coaching Ability and Understanding and creating a positive learning environment for players

Be experienced and confident in systems used to develop young players

Experience with Health and Safety and accident and injury reporting and the associated time frames

C licence or working towards C license accreditation
