Senior Associate- Corporate and Commercial

We are currently in a growth phase and seeking a Senior Associate to join our Auckland office. The Dentons’ Corporate and Commercial Team advises local, national, and international clients on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters.

About this role

The team advises clients including listed companies, iwi, local subsidiaries of multinationals, fund managers, private companies, trusts, and individuals on various corporate and commercial issues. As a Senior lawyer, your responsibilities will be diverse and may include : mergers and acquisitions; domestic and international transactions; business and corporate advisory; capital markets; joint ventures, partnering, and alliancing; resource and energy; and infrastructure projects.

You will be part of a dynamic and inclusive team that works closely with clients, providing valuable experience. Our firm is future-focused, and this ethos extends to our people.

About you

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience, with a proven track record of leading files. You should be a strong team player with a genuine ambition to establish yourself as a recognized professional in the corporate and commercial field. Mentoring and supporting other lawyers, having a flexible and proactive approach, enjoying variety, and fostering strong relationships across the market are important qualities.

You should have strong general corporate expertise, ideally with experience in some of the following areas :

• Mergers and acquisitions
• Domestic and international transactions
• Business and corporate advisory
• Capital markets
• Joint ventures, partnering, and alliancing
• Resource and energy
• Infrastructure projects
• Commercial contracts
