About Auror
At Auror, we’re empowering the retail industry to tackle theft and Organised Retail Crime, a $150 Billion problem globally. It’s high volume crime that’s increasingly organised in nature and is putting people, retailers, and communities at risk every day.
Founded in New Zealand 11 years ago, we’re working with some of the best and largest retailers in the world across the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the UK. Auror is connecting people and intelligence to reduce crime. We’re using technology for good.
In partnership with our leading retail partners, we need people with the passion, determination, and innovation required to overcome one of the world's largest problems. If you’re looking to make a difference with and for the people dedicated to stopping crime, for good, then we want you on our team.
We\u2019re also embracing the potential of AI to supercharge our impact—whether that's enhancing the way we detect trends, support our customers, or improve internal workflows. As a company, we\u2019re committed to responsibly incorporating AI into how we work and what we build, and we encourage all Aurors to be curious about how AI can elevate their work, regardless of role or function.
The Role
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Product Designer to join our mobile and integration streams to help frontline retail teams get the information they need in real time, and create high-quality safety events quickly, often under the pressure of a bustling retail environment.

Coupled with this, you’ll also be contributing to the next-generation of Auror’s design system (Lumos) that is set to reshape how our customers interact with each other and solve crime collectively.
Alongside the high-performing Mobile and Integrations teams, you’ll also be part of our highly collaborative Product team who are responsible for shipping great products on the daily. From customer understanding through to delivery, you’ll be playing a critical role of designing the experiences we provide our customers, enabling our business to scale and take our software to the world.
At Auror, our Product squad works in streams. We currently have 12 streams and each stream has representatives from each team - this includes Product Manager, Product Design, Quality Assurance and Software Engineering. This way of working encourages and fosters collaboration amongst the team. A trio of Product Manager, Designer and Engineering Lead are responsible for the planning and delivery of the stream’s objectives.
This is a permanent role, initially covering one of our team going on 12 month maternity leave, but extending on after she returns.
