As a Recreational Coordinator for Te Rori a Mua Trust, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing recreational programs that cater to a diverse range of participants. Your leadership skills and background in healthcare will be essential in ensuring that all activities are safe, enjoyable, and meet the needs of our community.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and deliver a variety of recreational programs and activities for different age groups and abilities.
Supervise and manage a team of staff, ensuring effective delivery of services and maintaining a positive environment.
Coordinate logistics for events, including procurement of supplies and equipment.
Engage with community members to assess their recreational needs and preferences.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all activities.
Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, making recommendations for improvements.
Prepare reports and documentation related to program activities and outcomes.
Qualifications
Proven experience in project coordination or management within a healthcare or recreational setting.
Experience working with people with disability.
Strong skills in staff management and team supervision.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and office administration.
Skills
Experience in First Aid and medical care.
Ability to adapt and be flexible in a dynamic environment.
Strong typing skills (90+ wpm) for efficient documentation.
A supportive and collaborative work environment focused on community engagement.
