Join us as a Commercial Lead, driving commercial excellence across major infrastructure projects. You'll lead commercial strategies, guide procurement, and support project teams to deliver safer, more efficient transport for New Zealand.
Key responsibilities :
Lead commercial delivery strategies for projects
Oversee procurement and contract management
Mentor project leaders on commercial matters
Manage risk, budgets, and contract compliance
Resolve commercial challenges and disputes

Position Description
Expected appointment base salary is between $173,842 to $225,995 commensurate to skills and experience.

You're a commercially savvy leader who thrives in complex environments and enjoys collaborating with diverse teams. You bring a strong track record in procurement, contract management, and project delivery, with the ability to influence outcomes and mentor others.
In addition, you'll bring
Strong commercial and procurement expertise
Project management and leadership experience
Proven contract negotiation and dispute resolution skills
Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience
Experience in transport infrastructure
Knowledge of Te Ao Maori and Te Tiriti o Waitangi, or willingness to learn

Commercial delivery provides end-to-end operational, planning and delivery support to facilitate the achievement of organisational and management objectives. We lead the design and implementation of best practice commercial management business improvement and provide commercial support to the Transport Services portfolio.
The National Land Transport Programme (NLTP) represents our commitment to provide New Zealanders with a safe, accessible, efficient and connected transport system. As part of the Commercial Delivery team, the Commercial Director takes ownership of the programme level infrastructure delivery aspects to support improved commercials at the delivery level
