Medical Technologist, Obstetrics & Gynaecology

OverviewThe Medical Technologist is responsible for providing diagnostic testing on in vitro fertilised embryos of patients undergoing pre-implantation genetic testing (PGT).

ResponsibilitiesConduct preimplantation genetic testing for common single gene disorders and chromosomal abnormalities.Develop custom genetic diagnostic assays for rare single gene disorders and conduct the PGT for rare single gene disorders.Conduct preimplantation genetic testing for aneuploidies.Involve in the general administrative operation and services of the Centre, internal and external audits, and R&D aspect.Participate in annual External Quality Assessment (EQA).

Attend to telephone enquiries / calls and trace results when requested.Participate in service quality activities / program.QualificationsDegree in Life Sciences, Medical Sciences or related qualification.Prior experience in Molecular Biology, Genomics and Genetics and next-generation sequencing.Competent in IT skills.
