This role is ideal for a skilled podcast producer who can manage the end-to-end production and editing of a new audio-only podcast focused on the hospitality industry. The project centers on insightful conversations with industry professionals, with each episode running approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour. The client will handle guest outreach and booking, while you will be responsible for shaping the audio experience, ensuring high production standards, and guiding the show from concept to polished episodes. This is a remote, project-based opportunity with the potential for ongoing collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the full production process for each podcast episode, from pre-production planning to final audio delivery
  • Collaborate with the client to develop episode structure, themes, and creative direction
  • Edit raw audio recordings to ensure clarity, consistency, and professional sound quality
  • Add music, sound effects, and transitions as needed to enhance listener engagement
  • Manage file organization, version control, and delivery of final audio assets
  • Provide guidance on best practices for remote recording and audio quality
  • Advise on podcast distribution platforms and assist with episode uploads if required

Skills and Requirements

  • Proven experience producing and editing podcasts, ideally with a portfolio of completed projects
  • Proficiency in audio editing software such as Adobe Audition, Audacity, or similar tools
  • Strong understanding of audio mixing, mastering, and post-production techniques
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a remote setting
  • Creative approach to storytelling and audio presentation
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Familiarity with the hospitality sector or an interest in industry topics is a plus
  • Availability to work on a project basis with flexibility for future episodes
