Opal Fibre Packaging provides a full service offering in corrugated cardboard box packaging from design and product testing through to supply chain integration. We have an exciting opportunity for a Structural Designer to join the team at our site in Wiri, Auckland.

The key focus of this role will be to :

Interpreting Design briefs as provided by the sales team

Provide Design advice to Sales, Estimators and Operations staff as required

Complete Custom Design Tasks as allocated by the system

Assist in product standardisation by matching existing solutions / tooling with new customers / applications

Assist in the manufacture of packaging samples as required

For this role we would ideally like you to have :

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders

Experience using CAD systems (AutoCAD experience would be viewed favourably)

Spatial awareness and the ability to visualize
