You’ll be responsible for maintaining and evolving the compliance framework, managing policy governance, overseeing assurance activities, and supporting teams across the business to meet and exceed our legal, regulatory, and ethical obligations. You’ll also coordinate our responses to external regulators and ensure our compliance controls remain robust and fit for purpose.

You'll be responsible for :

  • Leading and enhancing Kordia’s compliance and policy management frameworks
  • Monitoring regulatory obligations and ensuring compliance with legislation and ISO standards
  • Coordinating training, audits, and assurance activities across the business
  • Managing policy development, implementation, and ongoing reviews
  • Providing expert advice and fostering a proactive, organisation-wide culture of compliance

Na tōu rourou - What you will bring

At least 5 years’ experience in compliance, legal, governance, or risk roles, ideally within a regulated or public sector environment

Demonstrated understanding of key New Zealand legislation, including the Privacy Act, HSWA, and Public Records Act

Proven experience developing and implementing compliance frameworks and assurance programmes

Ability to interpret legislation and translate it into practical, business-focused advice

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, able to influence and advise at all levels

Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and confident use of compliance systems

Experience supporting or leading ISO certification activities is desirable

Our culture and values encourage and reward those that are collaborative, trustworthy, humble, courageous and expert. If these values appeal to you, we can offer you an environment in which you will thrive.

We believe every team member has a role to play in the overall success of the business, whether it is through our working relationships, technology or skills. Our culture and values encourage and reward those that are collaborative, trustworthy, humble, courageous and experts.
