We are seeking a Head of Software Engineering to lead a high-performing team and shape software delivery that aligns with Bluecurrent's strategic objectives.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage the software engineering disciplines.
Be accountable for the delivery of high-quality software solutions and the improvement of related processes including planning, coding, testing, and deployment.
Collaborate with other departments to align software development with business goals.
Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) : ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of software systems; implement observability, incident management, and continuous improvement processes.
DevOps : oversee the integration of development and operations to streamline the software delivery process; implement CI / CD pipelines, automate deployment, and uphold infrastructure as code practices.
Data Engineering : lead the data engineering team to design, build, and maintain data solutions; ensure data quality, governance, and accessibility across the organization.
Resource Management : lead the team and manage resources to meet business objectives and the product roadmap, including budgeting, forecasting, and allocation of resources.
Product Development : manage delivery and maintenance of software products and services, ensuring they meet market needs and business objectives; drive best practices for a commercial SaaS platform including cost optimization.
Technical innovation : continuously explore and trial new methods and technologies to drive quality, efficiency and effectiveness.

You will bring extensive experience in software engineering, development methodologies, and leading high-performing teams.
You will have excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across departments and drive alignment between software development and business objectives.

Qualifications
Experience with cloud-based platforms and modern software development tools.
Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and DevOps practices.
Data engineering principles and practices.
Resource management, including budgeting and forecasting.
