Responsibilities
Support local community health and wellbeing initiatives
Work with other community leaders and organisations to connect, collaborate, and find solutions
Help promote and support Hato Hone St John volunteers in the region
Take on a key portfolio role within the committee
Represent your community's needs and help shape local health equity initiatives
Requirements
Ko wai koe - About you - We're looking for people who :
Area Committee Members must be 18+ years and reside within Taupo or have a strong connection to the area.
Are passionate about the health and wellbeing of local communities and interested in how Hato Hone St John can make a difference.
Understand, or are open to learning about, Equity for Maori, with a commitment to growing personal cultural competence.
Have strong local connections and excellent communication and networking skills to expand community reach and engagement.
Think creatively, collaborate effectively, and build partnerships both within and outside the organisation.
Have strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to work well in a team.
A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.

Regular meetings
