  • About the Role - Kōrero mō te Tūranga
  • As a Contracts Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting efficient procurement and contract management to the Chemical and Microbiological Assurance team.This will include managing contract documentation and deliverables, and supporting the team with contract development, variations, and contributing to the contract management framework.Your key responsibilities will include :
  • Developing a maintaining a framework for tracking and monitoring the performance of all contracts managed by the team.
  • Leading the administration processes involved in developing contracts and managing associated variations.
  • Providing procurement and contract-related monitoring and administrative support.
  • Reviewing, editing, and improving contract documentation.
  • Liaising with external service providers, including managing administrative tasks related to contract and operational meetings.
  • Maintaining and enhancing contract related administrative systems and processes.
  • Identifying opportunities to streamline workflows and improve effectiveness.
  • Contribute to the Assurance Quality Management System and ensure procedures and processes are developed, adhered to and up to date.

  • Experience in contract administration processes
  • The ability to maintain effective relationships with customers, and meet their expectations
  • Understanding of budgets in a contract management context.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • A collaborative nature and a ‘can-do' attitudeIn addition to your technical skills and experience, you'll also have excellent verbal and written communication skills and a collaborative, team focussed and proactive approach.You'll have strong planning and coordination skills, well developed stakeholder engagement abilities, and able to see the big picture while maintaining focus on the detail.You do not need to meet all of the role requirements to apply.   • Mō tō mātou Rōpū
  • The Chemical and Microbiological Assurance team has accountability for major chemical and microbiological food monitoring programmes across various sectors. These programmes are designed primarily to support export assurances but also cover the domestic market. As part of this work, the team manages a range of contracts with external service providers that enable programme delivery.The Contracts Administrator plays a key role in supporting efficient and effective procurement and contract management. This includes managing contract documentation, systems and processes, monitoring contract deliverables and supporting the team with contract development, contract variations, and contributing to the development of the contract management framework. Additionally, this position helps ensure the team manages contracts according to MPI's procurement and contract management processes and expectations.
