About the Role
As a Pharmacy Assistant you will play an important role in the timely and accurate receipting of medications into our department and the supply of medicines to the wards.
This will include ward stock / impresting specific wards as rostered, and routine daily deliveries to all relevant wards / clinics of Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora, Hawkes Bay.
You will also be involved in tasks such as restocking and tidying of the Pharmacy dispensary, and depending on allocation of tasks, your day may include assisting in monitoring of medication fridge temperature, support of filing, finance and other office tasks.

About you
To be successful in this role, you will have :
Effective communication skills and a collaborative, proactive approach and a desire to provide a quality service.
Previous experience in pharmacy, stock management or procurement roles would be beneficial but not essential
You must be physically fit as the position requires walking up to 20km around the hospital in a day, pushing trolleys and moving bins and cartons up to 12kg.
