TechCollect NZ is a not‑for‑profit, member‑based organisation established by leading global tech brands to co‑design and deliver a regulated product stewardship scheme for electrical and electronic products. We provide free recycling services to households and small businesses, recovering more than 90% of valuable materials from e‑waste. Our mission is to keep e‑waste out of landfill and advance the circular economy by promoting reuse, repair and responsible recycling.
We are seeking a versatile Marketing & Fundraising Manager to help fuel this mission. You will build a sustainable grants pipeline, sharpen our digital presence, and ensure more people know how to participate.
This is a 0.5 FTE, 12‑month fixed‑term employee role. Any extension would depend on confirmed funding, board‑approved fundraising strategy and organizational priorities (including scheme accreditation progress).
What You'll Do :
- Fundraising : Identify, prioritize and secure grants and partner funding, crafting persuasive applications and maintaining a tidy reporting trail.
- Membership growth : Develop and convert relationships with producers and retailers into paid scheme memberships; build and report on a simple pipeline.
- Digital & website : Lead continuous improvement of our website, structure, content, usability and analytics, to support engagement and transparency.
- Communications : Develop on‑brand collateral, from fact sheets and funding packs to news and social media updates, and support aligned media work.
- Reporting : Provide clear monthly updates and quarterly KPI reports to the Head of Operations and the member board.
Your skills and experience :
Proven success winning grants in Aotearoa New Zealand (with examples of funding secured).Strong writing skills across proposals, web copy and storytelling.Hands‑on website experience, including content management systems and analytics.Organised, self‑managing and comfortable in a small not‑for‑profit setting.A passion for sustainability and commitment to keeping e‑waste out of landfill.Commitment to inclusion, equity and accessible communications.Must have the legal right to work in New Zealand.Why join us?
