About the Role
As a Senior Medical Officer in Obstetrics & Gynaecology
with experience in Colposcopy and Hysteroscopy, you will play a key role within
Women's Health, contributing to high-quality outpatient gynaecology services.
In this 0.6 FTE fixed-term position, you will provide
comprehensive clinical care including gynaecology clinics, colposcopy,
outpatient hysteroscopy, minor procedures, and acute gynaecology.
Additional
interest sessions'such as birthing suite duties, caesarean section lists, or
antenatal care'may be available depending on service needs and your areas of
interest.
You will support the Colposcopy and Hysteroscopy Lead
Clinicians to maintain and enhance the quality of the Colposcopy Service in
line with NCSP and C-QuiP standards.
You will also contribute to audit, service
development, registrar education, and quality improvement initiatives.
There may be opportunities to participate in the obstetric
on-call roster by mutual agreement.
About the Team / Service / Location
Christchurch Women's Hospital is a busy tertiary referral
centre with approximately 6,000 births per year and a full range of general and
subspecialty Gynaecology services.
We are also the South Island regional
referral centre for Gynaecological Oncology.
As an accredited RANZCOG training site, we support both training and
non-training registrars within a collaborative and inclusive multidisciplinary
team.
About You
You will be an experienced and dedicated clinician who
brings :registration (or eligibility for registration) with the MCNZ in Obstetrics
& Gynaecology
certification (or commitment to obtain it)
clinical experience in Colposcopy and / or Hysteroscopy
communication, teamwork, and time-management skills
commitment to service equity, patient-centred care, audit, and continuous
