Chinese Cook

Seafood Paradise in Auckland is looking for full-time cooks to join our team.

This is a full time permanent position, you will work 30-40 hours per week on the roster (minimum 30 hours guarantee), with hourly rate $25.00-30.00, depends on your skills, qualification and work experience.

We open 7 days a week 11 : 00 am -10 : 00pm, please be aware that you may need to work on nights, weekends and public holidays.

Key duties will include :

examining foodstuffs to ensure quality

regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment

preparing and cooking food

seasoning food during cooking

portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes

storing food in temperature-controlled facilities

preparing food to meet special dietary requirements

may plan menus and estimate food requirements

may train other kitchen staff and apprentices

any other duties that may be assigned by the owner.

Requirements :

At least 1 year of work experience in cooking Chinese food, or a relevant qualification at NZQF level 2 or higher

Available to work on weekends and public holidays when required

Drug free with clean police certificate
